Clinical Coordinator of the Physician Assistant (PA) Program (#102)

Summary of Duties

Marywood University invites applications for the position of Clinical Coordinator of the Physician Assistant (PA) Program, which offers a Master of Science in PA Studies. This is a full-time, 12-month, ranked Clinical Faculty appointment.

The Clinical Coordinator’s responsibilities include oversight of clinical curriculum, scheduling and clerkship assignments, liaison with clinical preceptors, coordinating and teaching courses as needed, advising students, maintaining and developing clinical sites, and visiting and evaluating preceptors and clinical sites to ensure ARC-PA Standards are met. The Clinical Coordinator is a principal faculty member and will be involved in student evaluation, remediation, program evaluation, accreditation, and other activities.

 



Requirements

  • Educational:

    The applicant should be a graduate of an accredited PA program and must hold an advanced degree in a related field, a current NCCPA certification, and hold, or be eligible for, Pennsylvania licensure.  Three years clinical experience is also required.  

    Preferred qualifications include:  teaching experience, PA program teaching or precepting experience; strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills; good organizational skills; knowledge of ARC-PA Standards related to clinical education; strong computer skills, including the use of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, database use, and the Typhon clinical tracking system; as well as the willingness to travel.
