African Sisters Education Collaborative (ASEC)

Data Manager PT (#971)

Hours:

20 hours per week, 8:30 a.m to 1:00 p.m

30 minute lunch period 

December 2018 through June 2019

Summary of Duties

  • Report to the HESA Assistant Director, and collaborate with the Assistant Director of Evaluation, HESA Evaluator, Daa Manager, and other ASEC departments
  • Support all program and evaluative activities of the Higher Education for Sisters in Africa (HESA) program
  • Assist in the development of documents, forms, references, PowerPoints, manuscripts, and other resources
  • Assist in the management of program and evaluation data, including qualitative and quantitative survey data, interview transcripts, and other documents
  • Assist HESA Evaluator in tracking program evaluation forms 
  • Assist in the development if a student data management system
  • Collaborate to monitor program data collection in ten countries in Africa
  • Collaborate to maintain and develop staff and student manuals
  • Collaborate to develop graphs, reports, and presentations 
  • Collaborate to manage and reply to HESA program0related correspondence via the HESA Administrator e-mail account
  • Maintain electronic and paper files of participant information and documents in a secured location
  • Data input for ASEC programs evaluation
  • Perform basic statistical analyses for projects and reports


Requirements

    Must have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.  Service oriented and able to work in a team environment.  Possess analytical skills, attentive to details, logical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Other Elements:

    • Assist in the training of new ASEC staff as needed
    • Contribute to program and data management for other ASEC programs and activities, as needed
    • Contribute to ASEC research activities, including articles and conference presentations
    • Participate in or support other ASEC-wide activities 
    • Perform routine clerical duties and administrative duties as instructed, if essential to the research activities of the HESA Assistant Director or HESA Evaluator or project to which the research assistant is assigned
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the HESA Assistant Director or HESA Evaluator
