The Marywood University Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies invites applications for a tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Religious Studies to begin August 2019.
Summary of Duties:
Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate core curriculum courses and undergraduate courses in the major. Student advisement, commitment to scholarly activities, and participation in university, professional, and community service are expected. A full-time teaching load is 21 credits per academic year.
Marywood University is a comprehensive Catholic institution sponsored by the Congregation of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary located in northeastern Pennsylvania. Additional information about the University is available at www.marywood.edu.
Required: Doctorate (ABD considered) in Religious Studies or Theology, with a specialization in Catholic Social Ethics. Ph.D. must be completed by August 2019.
Preferred: Ph.D. in Religious Studies or Theology with a specialization in Catholic Social Ethics. Background and preparation to teach World Religions/non-Christian traditions. Prior college teaching experience. Online teaching experience.
