The Department of Nutrition, Athletic Training & Exercise Science at Marywood University is seeking a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track professor in Nutrition at the Assistant Professor level for Fall 2018.  Our Department is part of the College of Health & Human Services and houses several accredited and non-accredited undergraduate programs in Nutrition, Athletic Training and Exercise Science.  On the graduate level, we offer several MS degree options, as well as a Dietetic Internship.  Our Department contains a Human Performance Laboratory, a Culinary Laboratory and active learning classrooms.

Marywood University is a small, comprehensive Catholic University sponsored by the Congregation of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.  Our campus is a close-knit community that focuses on teaching.  We are located near the Pocono Mountains in Northeastern Pennsylvania, easily accessible to Philadelphia and New York City.  Additional information about our University and Department is available at www.marywood.edu.

Responsibilities will include teaching and advising Nutrition, Athletic Training/ Exercise Science students (both undergraduate and graduate), commitment to scholarly activity, and service at the university, professional and community levels.



Requirements

  • Educational:

     

    Required: possess an earned Doctorate in Nutrition, or a closely-related field.  Individuals who anticipate completing their degree by May 2019 are also encouraged to apply.  The Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential is required.
