The mission of the College of Professional Studies is to educate undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students in the disciplines and associated practices of the College’s programs through intellectually and creatively challenging educational experiences, an inclusive and respectful learning environment, and the promotion of service and scholarship by students and faculty. This mission aspires to engender professionals who pursue their careers with a commitment to expertise, ethics and empathy in an interconnected world.
Areas of Study:
School of Architecture: Comprised of both Architecture and Interior Architecture programs, the School of Architecture teaches ways of making and thinking that enable students to do good in the world through design work. The Architecture Program offers a pre-professional Bachelor of Environmental Design in Architecture (BEDA) and a five-year Bachelor of Architecture (B.ARCH.) that is fully accredited through the National Architectural Accreditation Board. The Interior Architecture Program offers a four-year Bachelor of Interior Architecture (BIA) that is fully accredited through the National Association of Schools of Art and Design.
School of Business and Global Innovation: Offering a Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA) degree with a common core of classes encompassing all areas of managing a business, our programs provide undergraduate students with the opportunity to focus in disciplines such as accounting, financial planning, international business, management (including concentrations in entrepreneurship, hospitality management, and health services administration), aviation management, retail business management, and marketing. All programs in the School of Business and Global Innovation are fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs.
School of Education:The School of Education prepares teachers to make a significant, positive, and educatioal impact on the lives of PK-12 learners. Programs offer diverse field placement opportunities in various educational settings, so graduates can apply theory to practice. The School of Education offers a five-year program that culminates in additional certification at the master’s level. Programs are accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP), having met the NCATE (National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education) standards.
